Over 100 bikers got together to honor their friend.It was the 2nd annual memorial ride for Marvin Tarbox.Tarbox was a former Shriner who passed away after a go cart accident last year.The Low XII Riders biker group created a scholarship in his memory.Friends and family started the event to honor Tarbox the best way they knew how.The President of the Low XII Riders Chapter of Widow’s Sons Todd Foster said, “We all like to ride. Marvin was a good guy. We just started our scholarship in his name after he passed away. It was right around the same time we started our chapter. We wanted to do something good. He was a good guy he always was willing to help anybody out so this is kind of our way of keeping his memory alive.”The 100-mile ride went through Albion, Belfast, and back up to Bangor..The scholarship money will benefit the electrical program at Eastern Maine Community College to honor Tarbox’s work as an electrician.
