You might call it a comprehensive get-together for seniors.Hundreds turned out for the seventh annual Senior Expo held on Friday at the Spectacular Event Center in Bangor. It’s a one-stop shopping event for seniors. Everything from selling back gold, to learning about new programs, insurance and technology, as well turning in old medicine. There were health screenings too.”I think seniors really love knowing what’s going on and new seniors are happening all the time people turn sixty every day. And, it’s really been a lot of fun. There’s nothing that makes me happier than seeing seniors smiling and having a good time,” said Carol Higgins Taylor, communications director with the Eastern Area Agency on Aging. “It was a very good day. Just to meet a lot of interesting people and learn a lot more about the technologies that we can have,” said Bangor resident, Linda Caruso. Last year 800 people turned out for the event, and they expected even more this time around. There are plans to hold another expo next year.It always falls on the third friday in May.
