A man from Jefferson is in jail accused of intimidating a road crew near his house, while holding a weapon, then instigating a standoff with police. Lincoln County Sheriff Deputies were called to 34-year-old John Burbank’s home Monday afternoon. They say he’d been drinking and refused to come out of the house. We’re told Burbank held police at bay for about 45 minutes before he came outside and was arrested, unarmed. They say they did find several weapons inside. Burbank’s charged with Criminal Threatening with a Dangerous Weapon and Creating a Police Standoff. Burbank’s in the Two Bridges Jail in Wiscasset and is expected to appear in court Wednesday.
