Four People Accused of Lewiston Fires In Court Monday 

Four people accused of setting major fires in Lewiston were in court Monday.A 12-year-old boy is accused of starting an April 30th fire that left 75 people homeless another 12-year-old boy is accused of starting a fire on May 3rd.Both boys denied the charges: a judge ordered them detained in the juvenile system.Police say 23-year-old Bryan Wood and 29-year-old Brian Morin set a fire on May 6th that destroyed two buildings.The 3 fires destroyed nine buildings, displacing about 200 people.Court papers say Morin and Wood used couch cushions and sprayed them with butane to start the fires. Their bail is set at $350,000 dollars.Meanwhile, Governor LePage says he’s providing $50,000 dollars from the governor’s contingency account to the Lewiston Fire Relief Fund to help the victims of the fire so far, more than $176,000 dollars has been raised.
