House Fire Causes Hampden Woman To Jump From Second Story Window 

Fire crews crews responded to a house fire in Hampden Wednesday night.It happened on Main Road North.Fire broke out on the second floor of the home.Authorities say that it seems to have started in a back bedroom in an attached apartment.A woman living there escaped by jumping out of the window.”We were able to get it fairly quick knocked down. Seems to have been contained to the room that it started in. The Fire Marshal’s Office has been called. They’re on their way here to check and see what the cause might have been. At this point we’re not really sure,” said Hampden Fire Departmet Lieutenant Matthew St. Pierre.The woman who jumped from her window was taken to the hospital.Her condition is unknown at this time.Authorities say that there were other people in the house when the fire started, but no one else was hurt.
