Driver Blinded By Sun Strikes Pedestrian 

Emergency responders in Bangor freed a pedestrian from the underside of a car using airbags Monday afternoon. Patricia Shaw, 61, of Levant was struck by a car in the parking lot of the Rite Aid on Union St. just after 5:30. The driver, says she was blinded by the sun and didn’t see her. Shaw was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center and was treated for non-life threatening injuries.No charges will be filed in connection with the incident.
