Second 12-Year-Old Boy Charged with Arson in Latest Lewiston Fire

Another 12-year-old has been charged with arson in connection with a fire in downtown Lewiston Friday night.This comes just days after another 12 year old boy was charged with setting fire to four apartment buildings on Monday that left 75 people homeless.Officials from the State Fire Marshal’s Office said Friday night’s fire destroyed 3 apartment buildings and left 105 people homeless.Investigators said the Friday night fire started in a vacant garage adjacent to a condemned apartment on Pierce St and the fire quickly spread. The second boy is being held at Long Creek Correction facility for juveniles pending his first court date next week.Officials said others may be charged in the case.
