A two-hour standoff in Greenfield ended peacefully after authorities say a man holed himself up in his car with a gun. Penobscot County Sheriff deputies got a call about a possible domestic dispute between a man and a woman on South Height Road about 11 a.m. Friday. They say the man drove off with a handgun, making suicidal threats. He pulled his car over on the County Road in Greenfield, where he held police off. When the man finally gave up he was taken to a local hospital for evaluation. The case is still under investigation and the man hasn’t been charged. We’re told he’s a 16-year veteran of law enforcement in Kentucky.
