Three People in Central Maine Drug Ring Appear in Federal Court

Three more people connected to a major drug ring in Central Maine appeared in federal court in Bangor Tuesday. Court documents say twenty people in all were involved in the cocaine and oxycodone operation last year. 24-year-old Saul Hernandez of Augusta was sentenced to almost 4-and-a-half years in prison. 22-year-old Cassandra Ware of Albion was ordered to serve 2-and-a-half years. 31-year-old Tara Pelletier of Waterville pleaded guilty. Ten people were initially arrested last May.32-year-old Maurice McCray of Waterville and Farmington is accused of being the ringleader.He pleaded guilty last month and is waiting to be sentenced.
