Promoting peace, justice, and environmental advocacy is the hope in Orono for the weekend of April 27th. The University of Maine Student Rec. Center hosts the Hope Festival Saturday. A full schedule of activities, presented by 60 area organizations, will encourage relationship building and hope for a cleaner planet. There will be juggling, live music, and guest speakers. Their message is to “do one thing” to make your world a better place to live. This year’s event is dedicated to the memory of Arnie Neptune, a Penobscot elder who, for years, opened the Hope festival with a blessing.
