Lincoln Area School Superintendent Resigns

Updated 2 years ago

RSU 67 needs a new superintendent. Denise Hamlin resigned from the position. Lincoln, Chester, and Mattawamkeag make up the school district. ” On behalf of the RSU Board of Directors, I want to recognize Mrs. Hamlin for her dedicated service to RSU 67 and its citizens. Mrs. Hamlin sought to implement a variety of fiscal and policy changes which she strongly believed would serve our school system into the future. When it became apparent that the community would no longer support a budget put forward by Mrs. Hamlin, she appreciated the need for new leadership going forward and has agreed to resign. Given Mrs. Hamlin’s many talents, I am sure she will be an asset to whatever school system she moves on to and I and my fellow board members wish her well,” said Rebecca Hanscom in a prepared statement. Hamlin’s resignation is effective immediately.
