Tasty treats are helping cook up a cure in Bangor. Students and faculty at Eastern Maine Community College enjoyed a chocolate tasting event to benfit their Relay for Life fundraiser. From 6 P.M. Friday night until 9 P.M. on Saturday, participants will take turns walking the track at EMMC to help raise money for cancer treatment and research.”My mom had cancer so it was more of a close to home type deal so I said I’m going to put my all in that,” said organizer Tiffany Carr. When asked about the most challenging chocolate treat to bake, she said, “Challenging thing to make? Peanut butter balls.””It is very rich and creamy,” exclaimed one exuberant student, as he struggled to speak while happily chewing.Tiffany tells us she hopes the event raised about $200 for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.
