Brownville Mom to Return to Jail for Giving Pot, Alcohol to Daughter’s Friends
A woman from Brownville is scheduled to go back to jail Tuesday for giving alcohol and drugs to her daughter’s pre-teen friends. The Maine Supreme Judicial Court upheld the conviction of 38-year-old Tanya Donnelly. She was sentenced last June to a year in jail and her lawyer says she served about a month of that time. Donnelly was released while her case was being appealed. Six girls between the ages of 11 and 12 attended a birthday party at Donnelly’s house in March of 2011.Three of them smoked pot with her, some of them drank alcohol and one was given a prescription pill by Donnelly.
