Winslow Man Going to Prison for Role in Central Maine Drug Ring

One of 20 people accused of taking part in a drug ring in Central Maine is going to prison for 5 years. 22-year-old Patrick Hanson of Winslow was sentenced Monday in federal court in Bangor on drug and weapons charges. He pleaded guilty last summer. Court documents say Hanson helped run a cocaine and oxycodone operation between January and March of last year. Ten people were initially arrested during the bust last May. The alleged ring leader, 32-year-old Maurice McCray of Waterville and Farmington, pleaded guilty last month and is waiting to be sentenced.
