One man is dead and another still missing after a day of fishing in MDI.Thirty-eight year old Corey Farley of Seal Cove and his friend sixty-six year old Richard Weimer of Charlton, Mass. went fishing on Wednesday.A tradition Farley does every year on his birthday.The Maine Warden Service got a call Thrusday around 1 p.m. that a 12 foot aluminum boat was found capsized in the pond.(Sgt. David Caven-Maine Warden Service)”We had a warden Phil richter he’s a primary investigating officer here. He came to the boat landing and found a vehicle that appeared to have been here all night. Warden richer then started interviewing witnesses. He found out that this party that belongs to the vehicle had been seen as late as 3oclock yesterday afternoon still fishing when other fisherman were leaving they were still fishing. It became apparent that their boat had capsized and their vehicle was still here”The Maine Warden Service, MDI police and fire, along with other local search and rescue groups started searching around one Thursday afternoon. Weimer’s body was found around 3 p.m.His cause of death is still unknown, although there appears to be no apparent foul play.Authorities called off the search after dark Thrusday, they will continue searching for Farley in and around long pond Friday.
