Local Runners And UMaine Students Run Honorary Mile To Support Boston Marathon Victims 

Local runners and UMaine students came together on Tuesday night to run an honorary mile in support of those affected by the Boston Marathon tragedy.The Sub 5 Track club, which organizes and promotes many of the road races in the area, got the word out about this event.A moment of silence was held at around 9:00 PM, with the crowd of about 200 people gathering on the field.Then, those who came out ran the mile. Many in the local running community showing up, even in the rain, to honor the victims and families.Many of the those on the track were UMaine students connected to this event somehow.
