Crews are quickly picking away at the old Waldo-Hancock bridge in Prospect. They’re concentrating on taking apart the deck of the bridge as well hauling off the trusses. The Department of Transportation says all of the demolition, except the bridge towers, will be done in a couple of of weeks. The work to remove the 82-year-old bridge started in November.All of it is scheduled to be gone by the end of July.The Waldo-Hancock bridge was built in 1931. It was replaced by the Penobscot Narrows bridge in 2006.
