Two People Plead Not Guilty in Largest Bath Salts Bust in Maine
Two people arrested in Hermon in the state’s largest bath salts bust pleaded not guilty Tuesday.31-year-old Elizabeth Fuentes and 49-year-old Arthur Coy, both of Texas, appeared in court in Bangor. They were arrested in January after police say they busted up a major bath salts operation at a house in Hermon. The investigation reportedly led authorities to more than $1 million worth of the drug. Some was also found in a shipment from Maine to Texas. Authorities say the drugs originated from China. Fuentes and Coy are both due back in court next month for a hearing to dismiss their charges. 53-year-old Leonard Wells of Greenbush and 29-year-old Stephen Warren of Corinth are also charged in the case.
