UMaine Softball Drops Two Games To Albany

UMaine softball playing its first home games of the season at Kessock Field, hosting Albany for two.The Great Danes jumping out to a 5-0 lead in the first game. Maine tries to rally in the sixth. Kaitlin Norton drops a single into left fieldto score Hannah Hill. Hill actually hit a solo homer in the 7th. However, Maine falls, 5-2, in Game One.In Game Two of the twin bill, Albany again jumping out to a 5-0 lead, thanks in part to a three-run home run for Charlise Castro.Maine comes right back though in the bottom of the first. Jean Stevens with an RBI double to deep center. Makaila Kowalsky scores, making it 5-1. But Albany put this one away early. Maine falls in the second game of the doubleheader as well, 8-4.
