College Students Sell Art to Help Local Wildlife

Students at the University of Maine are giving back to the community with their art work.A group of art education majors are creating mugs as part of their empathy and art project.The mugs, which are hand made, and meant to represent home and comfort.Proceeds from the mug sales will benefit the Hirundo Wildlife Refuge. Art Education Student at UMaine, Nicole McGuigan, said “It actually takes 2 and a half hours to create a mug, just a single mug. Out goal is to create 500 mugs, so far we’ve made 270.
