Governor Proclaims April Child Abuse Awareness & Prevention Month 

Governor LePage has declared April “Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month.”To mark the occasion, police joined child abuse prevention advocates at a state house rally Tuesday afternoon.The Maine Children’s Trust says 2500 cases of child abuse and neglect were confirmed in Maine last year.Those numbers had declined in previous years but now are trending up.Folks at Tuesday’s rally are hoping to bring the numbers back down.For a complete list of child abuse awareness events for April you can go to
