KVCC to Offer Sustainable Agriculture Education

Kennebec Valley Community College will soon offer students an agricultural education, thanks to a $2.5 million federal grant. The classes will be taught at the new Harold Alfond campus in Hinckley.The money to start them comes from the Department of Labor. The college will offer classes in sustainable agriculture and culinary arts, beginning in August.The program’s designed to teach students how to manage or develop a small farm or agricultural business.For more information, log on to www.kvcc.me.edu.
