A new invention could have you enjoying next year’s snowmobile season in the comfort of a cabin. 26-year-old Kyle Anderson of Aroostook County is the creator of “The Phantom”.It’s an enclosed snowmobile with the luxuries of a car. Now he’s taking the machine on tour in hopes of finding investors. Today he stopped in Bangor. This homemade machine cost 15-hundred dollars to make and features heating, a CD player, rearview TV monitor, and an Indy 500 motor. A variety of materials were used in the construction, such as bathroom tiles, motorcycle lights, car and snowmobile parts, even a leaf-blower. He calls it something out of science fiction.
