Local senior citizens got a lesson in fraud today.Penobscot County Chief Deputy Troy Morton taught the “Be Aware Of The Danger” seminar course at Sunbury Village in Bangor.He zeroed in on types of fraud that typically targets seniors.Forty-five students eager to learn were in attendance.”People that are, don’t have the best interest of people in mind, watch and try to take advantage and seniors are a huge target. We here live 55 above community at Sunbury Village and every one of our residents is a prospective target,” said Deborah Wisdom, Sales & Marketing Leader at Sunbury Village. The Sheriff’s Department also provided a drop box for seniors to dispose of any unused and expired medications.
