Route 9 in Eddington is re-opened after three separate car crashes Tuesday morning, two involving DOT vehicles. State police say slippery roads played a part in the mess.Police say in the first crash, the driver of a pickup truck lost control and hit a utility pole. A state plow truck was stopped at that accident scene and was rear-ended by another vehicle. A second DOT truck that was following the plow stopped as well and was rear-ended, too. We’re told there was minor damage to the salt and sand spreader on the DOT plow truck. Police say the pickup driver in the first crash was going too fast for the road conditions, as was the driver who hit the plow truck.
