Hermon Food Pantry Holds Event To Raise Funds For More Inventory

An Auction Luncheon was held Sunday to help benefit a local food pantry.The Neighbors Helping Neighbors Food Pantry in Hermon are trying to raise $400 for canned goods.The event was originally planned as a snowmobile ride, but because of the lack of snow, organizers held a luncheon at the Penobscot Snowmobile Club instead.An Auction Luncheon was held today to help benefit a local food pantry.The Neighbors Supporting Neighbors food pantry in Hermon are trying to raise $400 for canned goods.The event was originally planned as a snowmobile ride, but because of the lack of snow organizers held a luncheon at the Penobscot Snowmobile Club instead.The pantry serves five towns, making the need for donations even greater.Volunteer Director of the pantry Carol Lackedy said “We’re open twice a month and in those 2 hours we’re open we’ll see more than 50 families.
