Updated 1 year ago

A nearly 2,500 gallon fuel spill caused the evacuation of a building Monday in downtown Bangor. Fire officials say the spill was in the furnace room of 59 Park Street, which is the central office of Fairpoint Communications. The Department of Environmental Protection was called in to help. Fire officials say a relay switch failed, causing the leak. No one got sick and no one was injured.
