Police Still Searching For Waterville Bank Robber 

Waterville Police are still searching for the man who robbed a bank on a busy city street last Thursday.Deputy Police Chief Charles Rumsey says the robbery happened just before 5:00 Thursday evening at the Key Bank on Kennedy Memorial Drive.Rumsey says the man handed the teller a note demanding cash and made an undisclosed threat. He then fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.Police are investigating the possibility that the robber may have walked some distance to and from the bank in order to commit the robbery and then escape. “Kennedy Memorial Drive and the surrounding area is a very high-traffic zone,” said Rumsey. “We are hoping that folks who may have been in that area any time on Thursday, February 21st take a close look at the person in the attached photos. If you think you may have seen him, please give us a call.” There was also a pink dye pack in the bag of money the robber got away with. Police are asking any person or business who has possession of money with red or pink stains to call the Waterville Police immediately.The number is 680-4700
