BREAKING: Waterville Bank Robbed; Police Searching For Alleged Robber 

Waterville Police are searching for a man they say robbed the Key Bank on Kennedy Memorial Drive in Waterville late Thursday afternoon.Waterville Deputy Police Chief Charles Rumsey said the man walked into the bank just before 5:00, handed the teller a note demanding cash. The man allegedly made an undisclosed threat before fleeing the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.Rumsey said they believe the suspect may have fled in a car that was parked in a parking lot behind some medical buildings at 325 Kennedy Memorial Drive next to the bank.Waterville Police, Maine State Police, and a K9 Unit from the Kennebec County Sheriff’s Department set up a perimeter that stretched from Kennedy Memorial Drive north to Lincoln Street but have not been able to locate the suspect as of yet.He’s described as a male between the ages of 45 and 55.Average height and build, wearing a long jacket.Police say they’ll release more information as soon as they can.
