Overnight Rain Temporarily Closes Tubing at Hermon Mountain
Tubing at Hermon Mountain is closed on Wednesday, due to flooding at the bottom of the hill. Water drains into that area and as of Wednesday morning, not all of the overnight rain had run off.The ski trails are open for business as usual. It’s February vacation week for many schools, so it’s a busy time on the mountain.”Yesterday the tubing park had I think almost 500 visitors. I would hate to see somebody go to their waist in water, and so it’s just better to give up on one day and let everything settle out,” said Bill Whitcomb, Owner and Manager of Hermon Mountain.Whitcomb said the water will drain out throughout the day and night. Tubing should be open again on Thursday.
