Firefighters Chili and Chowder Cook-Off

Bangor Firefighter Casey Perry was in to tell us about the Firefighters Chili and Chowder Cook-Off that will be taking place at the Seadog Restaurant in Bangor on Saturday, February 23rd, 2013. The cook-off is being sponsored by the Bangor Professional Firefighters, IAFF Local 772 and is a fundraiser to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Maine. To enter the cook-off you must submit 8 quarts of your favorite chili or chowder the day of the event. Entrants must provide their own slow cooker or crock pot. The entry fees are $20 Individual/Amateur and $40 Professional/Restaurant.The public can sample all entries and vote for their top choice with a $10 cover charge. There will celebrity judges voting as well. Plaques will be awarded to the winners in the Judge’s Choice, Firefighter’s Choice, and People’s Choice.Registration forms are available online at www.iaff772.org…
