Firefighters Chili and Chowder Cook-Off 

Bangor Firefighter Casey Perry was in to tell us about the Firefighters Chili and Chowder Cook-Off that will be taking place at the Seadog Restaurant in Bangor on Saturday, February 23rd, 2013. The cook-off is being sponsored by the Bangor Professional Firefighters, IAFF Local 772 and is a fundraiser to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Maine. To enter the cook-off you must submit 8 quarts of your favorite chili or chowder the day of the event. Entrants must provide their own slow cooker or crock pot. The entry fees are $20 Individual/Amateur and $40 Professional/Restaurant.The public can sample all entries and vote for their top choice with a $10 cover charge. There will celebrity judges voting as well. Plaques will be awarded to the winners in the Judge’s Choice, Firefighter’s Choice, and People’s Choice.Registration forms are available online at…
