Superintendent Says Lepage Proposal Will Cost Communities 

The head of Bangor schools says Governor Lepages proposal to shift some of the cost of teacher retirements to local communities would put a big burden on school districts. Superintendent Betsy Webb says the plan would put half of the current $28.9 million state responsibility on local schools. Which, in Bangor, means an additional $337-thousand on local taxpayers.
