Two Escapees from Charleston to Serve Two More Years

Two inmates who walked away from the Charleston Correctional Facility in July will spend another two years behind bars.20-year-old Randall Moulton of Bangor and 25-year-old Phillip Gardiner of Belfast pleaded guilty Monday to escape charges. The Penobscot County District Attorney says they had an additional two years tacked on to their original sentences.The men spent three days on the run last summer before being captured 22 miles away in Glenburn.Moulton was scheduled to be released this year.Gardiner had more than two years left on his sentence.Both were in Charleston serving time for burglary and other charges.
