A woman from Brewer who helped her boyfriend rob a pharmacy in Caribou is going to prison for more than three years. 24-year-old Amy Geroux was sentenced Monday in federal court in Bangor. She was ordered to serve three years and three months behind bars. Geroux pleaded guilty last summer to driving the getaway car after her boyfriend, 30-year-old Shayne Ellis, robbed the Caribou Rite Aid. She also pleaded guilty to gun and drug charges. Geroux was found in a motel room in Brewer with a large amount of bath salts, cash and a gun less than a week before the robbery in 2011. Ellis was sentenced last year to 5-and-a-half years in prison in connection with the robbery and as part of Maine’s first sentencing for a federal bath salts case.
