Saturday’s Pine Tree Camp Snowmobile Ride Still On

The warm temperatures and the rain have put a damper on the plans of many people to go snowmobiling this weekend. But not for those involved with the Pine Tree Camp’s annual egg ride from Levant to Newport.Local radio station Q106.5 is again raising money for the Pine Tree Camp by taking donations from their listeners. Each 50 dollars raised will equal another egg in the suit of the riders, and that includes our own Todd Simcox and Wayne Harvey. This is the 40th year for the ride in, and even if there isn’t snow, they will still “egg up” at the Hungry Hollow 76ers snowmobile club in Levant Saturday morning and then they’ll make their way to Newport. This is more than just a typical fund raiser for the radio station said morning show host, and station brand manager JR Mitchell “This is an organization that we firmly wrap our entire heart around because they do so good for so many people and the people that we work with from the camp are just amazing people.”The fund raising goal is 40 thousand dollars for the 40th year of the ride in weekend. You can help them reach their goal by calling their studios at 991-9500or you can visit their website and donate online at the WQCB websiteThey will also be at Danforths in Hermon Thursday until 6pm, and Friday until 7pm.
