Canadian Man Shipped Out of Country after Conviction 

A Canadian man convicted of lying in order to buy guns has been sent back to Canada and told not to return to the US.Yesterday in federal court in Bangor, 35-year-old Jeremy Gertsch of Quebec was sentenced to sixteen months in prison.Since he had already served that time while awaiting trial, he was sent back to Canada.Police say a year ago he rented a room at an Augusta hotel and got a Maine driver’s license, listing the hotel address as his home and used the license to buy eight handguns in Maine.
