Getaway Driver in Bangor Pharmacy Robbery Going to Prison

A man from Bangor is going to prison for 2-and-a-half years for his part in a pharmacy robbery last fall. 24-year-old Kirk DePhilippo pleaded guilty Tuesday. He admitted to driving the getaway car after a robbery in October at the Rite Aid at Union and 14th Streets in Bangor. Authorities say another man, 27-year-old John Harmon of Dover-Foxcroft, walked into the store, demanded prescription pills, then ran out and got into DePhilippo’s car.Court documents revealed Harmon confessed to police to robbing the pharmacy to settle a drug debt with DePhilippo.Harmon is charged with robbery and unlawful possession of scheduled drugs.DePhilippo was also ordered to serve 3 years probation when he’s out of prison.
