Owners Open Shop on a New Downtown “Space”

Updated 1 year ago

There’s a new business in downtown Bangor, but it’s not your typical shop.Anne Schmidt and her husband, Josh, are both local artist and are always looking for a space for a gallery or a place to hold a rehearsal. The two found the perfect spot, which they now call the “coe space.” They want the community to use for space for whatever they need. The duo rents out the space for a medium-sized party, for events like a baby shower. There’s even a 60 inch TV, so guys can rent it out to watch the big game.Schmidt said since the project launched on december 15th, they’ve received many requests. “We’ve had some interest in having gallery openings and things like that. So artists are looking into it. We’ve already had a request for somebody who asked ‘Can we have it for a week?’ and we’re like “O.K.” So, yeah, we can accommodate pretty much any request.Schmidt says one of the few rules includes cleaning up after yourself and the space provides everything you need to do so.If you’re interested in renting the downtown space you can like the “Coespace” Facebook page or email them at bookme@thecoespace.com
