Fitness Experts Give Advice on How to Keep Your New Year’s Resolution

Tis’ the season to hit the gym.Many people make a new year’s resolution to get in shape, but making it happen is a different story. The Assistant Director for Health and Wellness at the Bangor YMCA, Rebecca Marino said ‘Don’t just be like “I want to lose weight, everyone wants to lose weight.’ Take the time to figure out how your goal will help you.”Many gyms in the Bangor area can help you. Planet Fitness is a gym aimed for first-timers, while the Bangor YMCA gives people with all different fitness levels a ton of options. Planet Fitness Employee, Anita Priesing, said “Some people come for rehabilitation. Some people come for weight loss. Some people come for “If you don’t use it you lose it.”No matter the reason for going to the gym, trainers said they see a lot of people sign up in January, but by March, many of those faces disappear.
