Bangor police arrested a Bangor teen accused of killing his 3-month-old son.Police held a press conference on Wednesday night, to update us on what happened. Authorities charged 18-year-old Dustin Brown with manslaughter for the death of his child, Xander Brown.Lieutenant Tim Reid says police were called to a house on Thatcher Street on November 25th for a baby who was not breathing.After an investigation, Brown was indicted Wednesday afternoon by the Penobscot County Grand Jury. An autopsy showed Xander Brown’s death was a homicide, as a result of traumatic injuries to the head. “The autopsy was completed the following day. It was obvious from that, that the trauma was inflicted and the investigation resumed,” said Reid. The manslaughter charge that Brown faces is a Class A crime.Bangor police tell us he faces a maximum of 40 years behind bars.Dustin Brown is currently being held at the Penobscot County Jail.An arraignment will be held tomorrow at 1 P.M.
