Police Departments Cracking Down on Drunk Driving 

Police departments throughout the state are cracking down on drunk driving. The, ” DriveSober, Maine!” effort runs through Labor Day 2013. Police are increasing patrols at times and locations where drunk driving in most common. The program is federally funded. According to Steve McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety, 164 people have died on Maine roads in 2012.
