Two snowtorms in three days made for a busy weekend for snow removal crews. Crew Leader for Brewer Public Works Ian Badershall tells us they had their equipment ready to go, but the amount of snow surprised them. A major obstacle with these two storms continues to be keeping up with the wind, which is blowing the snow back into the roads after they’re plowed. “We’re going to have a lot of drifting due to this. We’re going to have 40 mph gusts tonight they’re saying, and that just keeps blowing over the roads and we have to come back in to scrape it off,” said Badershall on Sunday afternoon. He said crews would be back on the roads Sunday night trying to keep those snow drifts back and the roads clean.
