Police Make an Arrest After a Six Hour Standoff in Minot 

Dozens of shots were fired in a standoff in Minot Friday night. State Police and the Maine Attorney General’s Office said Michael Callahan, 44, fired dozens of shots on Verrill Road over a six-hour period.Callahan surrounded to police around 5:00 Saturday morning has been arrested in connection with the incident.Officials said he’s charged with reckless conduct with a firearm and domestic violence criminal threatening. The 44-year-old is current in the Androscoggin County Jail. The Attorney General’s Office is investigating.
