An eight-year-old boy from Orrington who’s really stepped up as one of Santa’s helpers has reached his remarkable goal. Brayden Mott has been collecting gifts to give to Toy for Tots.Last year he rounded up more than 300. This year he thought he’d go for 2012 toys. As of this morning, he topped it with 2,027 toys and he’s still got some donated money to spend. The Bangor leadership institute stepped in to help Brayden meet his goal. That group set up a collection box at the Maine Discovery Museum. Brayden plans to drop off the donations at Toys for Tots tomorrow.
