Eastbrook Man Admits to Robbing Bangor Pharmacy

A man from Eastbrook pleaded guilty Thursday to robbing a pharmacy in Bangor.46-year-old Jeffrey Macy held up the Rite Aid at Union and 14th Streets in October. Police say they caught up with him because the pharmacist put a GPS tracking device in the bag with the drugs he stole. Police chased Macy’s car from the pharmacy to Bangor Municipal Golf Course.An officer rammed his cruiser into Macy’s car to stop him.Macy also pleaded guilty to possession of oxycodone, aggravated criminal mischief and refusing to submit to arrest.He’s scheduled to be sentenced next Thursday. He faces up to 10 years in prison for the robbery charge and 5 years in prison for the other charges.
