Old Town Police: Alcohol a Factor in Deadly Weekend Crash
Old Town police officials said the driver killed in an accident early Sunday morning had been drinking.Police said Jonathan Worster, 23, of Carmel was driving on Main Street when he struck a utility pole just before 5:00 a.m. He was ejected from the car and later pronounced dead at a local hospital.There were three passengers in his car. Two were treated and released from a hospital.A 21-year-old Brewer man who had to be freed from the wrecked car remains at the hospital in fair condition. Police said speed was also a factor in the crash.
