Bangor Welcomes New Fire Chief

Bangor’s new fire chief is settling in to the job.Scott Lucas has more than 20 years of firefighting experience.He comes to Bangor after being assistant fire chief in Westland, Michigan.Lucas has only been with the department for only a few days now but says he’s already proud to be part of the community.”It’s quite an honor, and as an outsider from the state of Michigan, it’s even more of an honor and a privilege, and I realize this is a department steeped in history and I’m absolutely thrilled to be a part of it,” said Lucas.Chief Lucas says he plans on bringing fresh and progressive leadership to the department.His goal is for Bangor to have the best fire department in Maine.
