One woman was transported to a hospital after a three car crash on Route 2 in Hermon. We’re told two pickup trucks stopped at the intersection of Route 2 and New Boston Road. A third car heading toward them didn’t stop in time and hit the middle truck. The driver of the middle truck was taken to a hospital for neck and back pain. There were no other injuries. “The car that struck the truck did have extensive damage to the front end. Luckily he was wearing a seat belt and the airbags did deploy, which did their job like they’re supposed to do, and everybody was able to walk away from this one,” said Larry Estes, Deputy Sheriff of Penobscot County. Traffic was down to one lane for about an hour.
