Festival of Lights Parade Brings a Record Crowd to Downtown Bangor

Downtown Bangor put the final touches on some holiday decorations..The Festival of Lights Parade brought a huge crowd downtown on Saturday.The WABI News, Sports, and Weather teams even joined in on the fun.This was the largest parade in years, with over 75 groups participating. It’s a chance for people to enjoy all that Downtown Bangor has to offer.President of the Bangor Rotary Club, Scott Boucher said “I definitely think this is a highlight to kick off the holiday season downtown. People wait all year long for this, we’ve been getting request for the past two months for floats so I think people are definitely geared up for this one.”At the end of the parade Santa Claus himself lit the Downtown Tree, lighting up the neighbor hood, signaling the beginning of the holiday season for the town.
