Augusta Man Waives Right to Jury Trial in Murder Case 

An Augusta man has agreed to let a judge decide whether he’s guilty of the stabbing death of his domestic partner.41-year-old Michael Young waived his right to a jury trial. His bench trial is scheduled to start December 17th.Young is charged with the murder of David Cox in 2011.He denies stabbing Cox, saying he was in bed sick when he heard a bang, got up to investigate, and found Cox slumped over a bicycle with a knife in his chest.The medical examiner says the wound was not consistent with an accident.
